Ταξίδεψέ με χρόνε.
Να πορευθώ μέσα σου
ανάστροφα.
Να ψηλαφήσω και
ν’ ανασύρω
τη ρίζα της ξακουστής μου πόλης
καθώς την άκουγα τις παγωμένες νύχτες
Δίπλα στην πυροστιά.
Τί αλήθεια. . . Τί μύθος
σε ομορφιά το ίδιο!

To reverse my course
Within you.
To touch and
to draw up
the roots of my famous city
as I’d hear it on freezing nights
by the hearth.
What’s truth. . . what’s myth
When it comes to beauty they’re the same!
